Engine Oil Replacement

Drain

1. Warm Up The Engine

1. Start the engine. Hold the engine speed at 3,000 rpm without load in P or N until the radiator fan comes on, then let it idle.

2. Vehicle Lift

1. Raise the vehicle on a lift, and make sure it is securely supported.

3. Engine Oil Drain Lid





1. Remove the engine oil drain lid.

4. Engine Oil - Replacement





1. Remove the drain bolt (A), and drain the engine oil.

2. Reinstall the drain bolt with a new washer (B) and torque to specification.

Refill

1. Engine Oil - Replacement





1. Refill the engine with the recommended engine oil.








2. Engine Oil Drain Lid





1. Install the engine oil drain lid.

3. Warm Up The Engine Wait Few Minutes

1. Park the vehicle on level ground, and start the engine. Hold the engine speed at 3,000 rpm with no load P or N until the radiator fan comes on, then turn off the engine, and wait more than 3 minute.

4. Engine Oil Level - Check





1. Remove the dipstick, and wipe off the dipstick, then reinstall the dipstick.

2. Remove the dipstick.

3. Check the engine oil level. It should be between the upper mark (A) and the lower mark (B).

4. If the engine oil level is near or below the lower mark check for oil leakage, and add the engine oil to bring it to the upper mark.

5. HDS DLC - Connection





1. Connect the HDS to the data link connector (DLC) (A) located under the driver's side of the dashboard.

2. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).

3. Make sure the HDS communicates with the vehicle. If it does not communicate, go to the DLC circuit troubleshooting.

6. Maintenance Minder Reset
