Fog Light Adjustment
Removal
1. Vehicle Lift
1. Raise the vehicle on a lift, and make sure it is securely supported.
2. Front Splash Shield As Needed (Except Canada models)
1. Remove the bolts (A), then remove the clips (B) that secure the front inner fender and the front splash shield (C) to the body.
2. From under the front bumper (D), remove the clips (E).
3. From under the body, remove the clips (F), then pull out the front splash shield.
Adjustment
1. Fog Light - Adjustment
Before adjusting the fog light:
* Park the vehicle on a level surface.
* Make sure the tire pressures are correct.
* The driver or someone who weighs the same should sit in the driver's seat.
* Unload the vehicle.
NOTE: The fog lights should aim down slightly. To check for proper adjustment.
1. Park the vehicle in front of a wall or a screen (A).
2. Turn the fog lights on.
3. Determine if the fog lights are aimed properly:
* Measure the height of the fog lights (B).
* On the screen or wall, mark the height of the fog lights with a line of tape (C).
* Measure the distance between the tape mark and the top of the fog light beam (D).
* If needed, adjust the fog lights to the specified height.
For example, if the vehicle is parked 3 m (9.8 ft) from the screen, the top of the fog light beam should be 4.5 cm (1.77 in) below the tape mark.
Except Canada models
Canada models
4. Adjust the fog lights by turning the adjuster (A).
NOTE: Canada models: Access to the fog light adjuster from the vent of the front bumper.
Installation
1. Front Splash Shield As Needed (Except Canada models)
1. Install the front splash shield (A), then install the bolts (B) and the clips (C, D). Make sure the clips snap into place securely.
