HandsFreeLink Control Unit Update
Procedure
* Before you update the HandsFreeLink control unit, make sure the battery in the vehicle is fully charged, and connect a jumper battery (not a battery charger) to maintain system voltage.
* Never turn the ignition switch to ACCESSORY (I) or to LOCK (0) during the update. If there is a problem with the update, leave the ignition switch turned to ON (II).
* To ensure the latest program is installed, do a HandsFreeLink control unit update whenever the HandsFreeLink control unit is substituted or replaced.
* The HandsFreeLink control unit is updated via Bluetooth using the HFL control unit update application on the HDS PC. Make sure the HDS PC is inside the vehicle when updating the HFL control unit.
