A/T Gear Position Indicator Panel Assembly Removal and Installation

Removal

1. Shift Lever Panel (AT)





1. Carefully pry out the shift lever panel (A) with the appropriate trim tool to detach the clips (B, C) and the hooks (D), then remove the shift lever panel.

2. Center Maintenance Cover





1. Remove the maintenance cover (A).

3. D3 Switch Harness - Disconnection





1. Remove the harness wire tie (A).

2. Disconnect the D3 switch connector (B).

4. Shift Lever Knob/Shift Lever Knob Ring Assembly





NOTE: Do not wipe off the special grease applied to the area of the shift lever marked with an asterisk (*) when you disassemble or assemble it.

1. Unhook the D3 switch harness (A) from the harness guide (B).

2. Remove the shift lever knob/shift lever knob ring assembly (C).

5. A/T Gear Position Indicator Panel Assembly





1. Remove the A/T gear position indicator panel light socket (A) from the A/T gear position indicator panel assembly (B).

2. Unhook the A/T gear position indicator panel light harness (C) from the harness guide (D).

3. Remove the A/T gear position indicator panel assembly by expanding the four lock tabs (E).





4. Remove the lever cover (A) from the A/T gear position indicator panel (B).

5. Check the lever cover for wear and damage, and replace it if necessary.

Installation

1. A/T Gear Position Indicator Panel Assembly





1. Install the lever cover (A) to the A/T gear position indicator panel (B).





2. Install the A/T gear position indicator panel assembly (A) by aligning the four lock tabs (B).

3. Hook the A/T gear position indicator panel light harness (C) to the harness guide (D).

4. Install the A/T gear position indicator panel light socket (E).

2. Shift Lever Knob/Shift Lever Knob Ring Assembly





NOTE: Do not wipe off the special grease applied to the area of the shift lever marked with an asterisk (*) when you disassemble or assemble it.

1. Install the shift lever knob/shift lever knob ring assembly (A).

2. Hook the D3 switch harness (B) to the harness guide (C).

3. D3 Switch Harness - Reconnection





1. Connect the D3 switch connector (A).

2. Route the D3 switch harness (B) along with the shift lever assembly, and tie the harnesses at the guide (C) with the harness wire tie (D).

4. Center Maintenance Cover





1. Install the maintenance cover (A).

5. Shift Lever Panel (AT)





1. Install the shift lever panel (A). Make sure the clips (B, C) and the hooks (D) snap into place securely.
