Front Door Glass Removal and Installation
Removal
1. Door Mirror Cover
1. Carefully pry out the door mirror cover (A) with the appropriate trim tool to detach the clips (B), then remove the door mirror cover.
2. With tweeter: Disconnect the connector (C).
2. Front Door Power Window Switch Panel
1. Carefully pry out on the notch (A) in the power window switch panel (B) with the appropriate trim tool to detach the clips (C) and the hooks (D). Disconnect the connectors (E), then remove the power window switch panel.
3. Front Door Panel
1. Carefully pry out on the upper hook (A) in the inner handle cap (B) with the appropriate trim tool, then pull back the inner handle cap to remove it.
2. Remove the screws (A) securing the inner handle (B).
3. Remove the pull pocket mat (A), then remove the screw (B).
4. Starting at the bottom edge of the door panel (A), detach the clips (B) with a commercially available trim pad remover.
5. Starting at the rear, pull the door panel upward.
6. Remove the inner handle (C) from the door panel, then remove the door panel.
4. Front Door Plastic Cover
1. Disconnect the connector (A), then detach the harness clips (B).
2. Remove the screws (C), then remove the pull pocket bracket (D).
3. Remove the plug caps (E), then carefully remove the plastic cover (F).
NOTE: If the plastic cover is damaged or torn, replace it with a new one.
5. Front Door Glass
1. Carefully lower the glass (A) until you can see the glass mounting bolts (B), then remove them. Carefully pull out the glass through the window slot. Take care not to drop the glass inside the door.
6. Front Door Glass Run Channel
1. Remove the front door glass run channel (A).
7. Front Door Center Lower Channel
1. Remove the bolt (A), then remove the center lower channel (B).
8. Door Mirror
1. Disconnect the connector.
2. Detach the harness clip (A).
3. While holding the power mirror (B), remove the nuts (C) securing the mirror.
4. Remove the power mirror (A) and carefully pull out the harness (B).
9. Front Door Glass Outer Weatherstrip
1. Remove the screw (A) securing the front door glass outer weatherstrip.
2. Slide the front door glass outer weatherstrip clips (B) forward to release it from the door.
3. Remove the front door glass outer weatherstrip (A).
10. Front Door Front Lower Channel
1. Remove the nuts (A) and the bolt (B), then remove the front lower channel (C).
Installation
1. Front Door Front Lower Channel
1. Install the front lower channel (A), then install the nuts (B) and the bolt (C).
2. Front Door Glass Outer Weatherstrip
1. Install the front door glass outer weatherstrip (A).
2. Slide the front door glass outer weatherstrip clips (A) securely onto the flanges, then install the screw (B).
3. Door Mirror
1. Insert the harness (A) into the hole in the door, then install the power mirror (B).
2. Install the nuts (A).
3. Attach the harness clip (B).
4. Connect the connector.
4. Front Door Center Lower Channel
1. Install the center lower channel (A), then install the bolt (B).
5. Front Door Glass Run Channel
1. Align the notch (A) of the glass run channel with the alignment mark (B) on the body, then install the run channel all the way around.
6. Front Door Glass
1. Install the glass (A) through the window slot, then install the glass mounting bolts (B). Take care not to drop the glass inside the door.
7. Front Door Glass - Adjustment
NOTE:
* Check the weatherstrip and the glass run channel for damage or deterioration, and replace them if necessary.
* Wipe the run channel clean with a shop towel.
1. Place the vehicle on a firm, level surface.
2. Carefully move the glass (A) until you can see the glass mounting bolts (B), then loosen them.
3. Push the glass against the center lower channel (C), then tighten the glass mounting bolts.
4. Make sure that the glass moves smoothly.
5. Raise the glass fully, and check for gaps. Also make sure that the glass (A) contacts the glass run channel (B) evenly.
8. Front Door Plastic Cover
1. Install the plastic cover (A), then install the plug caps (B).
2. Install the pull pocket bracket (C), then install the screws (D).
3. Connect the connector (E), then install the harness clips (F).
9. Front Door Panel
1. Install the inner handle (A) in the door panel (B).
2. Install the door panel. Make sure the clips (C) snap into place securely.
3. Install the screw (A), then install the pull pocket mat (B).
4. Install the screws (A) securing the inner handle (B).
5. Install the inner handle cap (A). Make sure the upper hook (B) and the lower hooks (C) snap into place securely.
10. Front Door Power Window Switch Panel
1. Connect the connectors (A), then install the power window switch panel (B). Make sure the clips (C) and the hooks (D) snap into place securely.
11. Door Mirror Cover
1. With tweeter: Connect the connector (A).
2. Install the door mirror cover (B). Make sure the clips (C) snap into place securely.
12. Power Window Control Unit - Reset
1. Do the power window control unit resetting procedure. Testing and Inspection
