Rear Door Window Glass Weatherstrip: Service and Repair






Rear Door Glass Outer Weatherstrip Removal and Installation

Removal

1. Rear Door Power Window Switch Panel





1. Carefully pry out on the notch (A) in the power window switch panel (B) with the appropriate trim tool to detach the clips (C) and the hooks (D). Disconnect the connector (E), then remove the power window switch panel.

2. Rear Door Panel





1. Detach the clip (A) and the hooks (B), then remove the rear door quarter inner trim (C).





2. Carefully pry out on the upper hook (A) in the inner handle cap (B) with the appropriate trim tool, then pull back the inner handle cap to remove it.





3. Remove the screws (A) securing the inner handle (B).





4. Remove the pull pocket mat (A), then remove the screws (B).





5. Starting at the bottom edge of the door panel (A), detach the clips (B) with a commercially available trim pad remover.

6. Starting at the rear, pull the door panel up.

7. Remove the inner handle (C) from the door panel, then remove the door panel.

3. Rear Door Plastic Cover As Needed





1. Disconnect the connector (A), then detach the harness clips (B).

2. Remove the screws (C), then remove the door pull pocket bracket (D).

3. Remove the plug caps (E), then carefully detach the plastic cover (F) as needed.

NOTE: If the plastic cover is damaged or torn, replace it.

4. Rear Door Glass Outer Weatherstrip





1. Remove the screw (A) securing the rear door glass outer weatherstrip.

2. Slide the rear door glass outer weatherstrip clips (B) forward to release it from the door.





3. Remove the rear door glass outer weatherstrip (A).

Installation

1. Rear Door Glass Outer Weatherstrip





1. Install the rear door glass outer weatherstrip (A).





2. Slide the rear door glass outer weatherstrip clips (A) securely onto the flanges, then install the screw (B).

2. Rear Door Plastic Cover As Needed





1. Install the plastic cover (A), then install the plug caps (B).

2. Install the pull pocket bracket (C), then install the screws (D).

3. Connect the connector (E), then install the harness clips (F).

3. Rear Door Panel





1. Install the inner handle (A) in the door panel (B).

2. Install the door panel. Make sure the clips (C) snap into place securely.





3. Install the screw (A), then install the pull pocket mat (B).





4. Install the screws (A) securing the inner handle (B).





5. Install the inner handle cap (A). Make sure the upper hook (B) and the lower hooks (C) snap into place securely.





6. Install the rear door quarter inner trim (A). Make sure the clip (B) and the hooks (C) snap into place securely.

4. Rear Door Power Window Switch Panel





1. Connect the connector (A), then install the power window switch panel (B). Make sure the clips (C) and the hooks (D) snap into place securely.
