Washer Motor Removal, Installation, and Test
Removal
1. Right Front Inner Fender As Needed
1. Remove the bolt (A), the screws (B), and the clip (C, D, E) securing the front inner fender (F), then remove the front inner fender as needed.
2. Washer Motor
Capacity 2.5 L (2.6 US qt): USA and Mexico models
Capacity 4.5 L (4.76 US qt): Canada models
1. Disconnect the connector.
2. Remove the washer motor (A).
NOTE: Fluid may flow out of the opening.
Test
1. Washer Motor - Test
Capacity 2.5 L (2.6 US qt): USA and Mexico models
Capacity 4.5 L (4.76 US qt): Canada models
1. Check the washer motor operation by connecting power and ground according to the table.
* If the motor does not run or fails to run smoothly, replace it.
* If the motor runs smoothly, but little or no washer fluid is pumped, check for a disconnected or blocked washer hose, or a clogged washer motor outlet.
Installation
1. Washer Motor
Capacity 2.5 L (2.6 US qt): USA and Mexico models
Capacity 4.5 L (4.76 US qt): Canada models
1. Inspect the gasket (A); replace it if it is distorted or stays compressed.
2. Install the washer motor (B) with the gasket.
3. Connect the connector.
2. Right Front Inner Fender As Needed
1. Install the front fender (A), then install the bolt (B), the screws (C), and the clips (D, E, F). Make sure the clips snap into the place securely.
