Navigation System DTC Troubleshooting: 2703

DTC 2703 : Aircon Diag

NOTE:
* Check the vehicle battery condition first Component Tests and General Diagnostics.
* This navigation DTC sets when NG is indicated in the Aircon diagnosis (the A/C icon is red in the System Links).
* Check for B-CAN DTCs and resolve them before troubleshooting.
* Before you troubleshoot, make sure to follow the How to Troubleshoot the Navigation System Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview.

1. Problem verification:

-1. Clear the hard error codes Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview.

-2. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0) and then back to ON (II).

-3. Check for hard error codes Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview.

Is DTC 2703 indicated?
-YES- The failure is duplicated, go to step 2.
-NO- Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time.

2. Open wire check (B CAN-H line, B CAN-L line):

-1. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).

-2. Disconnect the following connectors.






-3. Check for continuity between test points 1 and 2.














Is there continuity?
-YES- Go to step 3.
-NO- Repair an open in the wire(s) between the audio-navigation unit and the climate control unit.

3. Audio-navigation unit check:

-1. Substitute a known-good climate control unit Climate Control Unit Removal And Installation (Climate Control), and recheck.

Does the symptom/indication go away?
-YES- Replace the original climate control unit.
-NO- Replace the audio-navigation unit Audio-Navigation Unit Removal and Installation.
