Navigation System DTC Troubleshooting: 2705

DTC 2705 : HFL Diag

NOTE:
* Check the vehicle battery condition first Component Tests and General Diagnostics.
* This navigation DTC sets when NG is indicated in the HFL diagnosis (the HFL icon is red in the System Links).
* Before you troubleshoot, make sure to follow the How to Troubleshoot the Navigation System Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview.
* Check any official Honda service website for more service information about the navigation system.
* Check the connectors for poor connections or loose terminals.

1. Problem verification:

-1. Clear the hard error codes Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview.

-2. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0) and then back to ON (II).

-3. Check for hard error codes Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview.

Is DTC 2705 indicated?
-YES- The failure is duplicated, go to step 2.
-NO- Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time.

2. Determine possible failure area (GA-NET circuit, others):

-1. Select the HFL in the System Links, and check for GA-NET status Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview.

Is GA-NET NG indicated?
-YES- Go to HFL does not respond troubleshooting.
-NO- Go to step 3.

3. HandsFreeLink system DTC check:

-1. Select the HFL in the System Links, and check for HFL DTC Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview.

Is DTC B1792 indicated?
-YES- Go to B1792 troubleshooting B1792.
-NO- Replace the audio-navigation unit Audio-Navigation Unit Removal and Installation.
