Cruise Control (PCM) Input Test
NOTE: Always make sure that you have the latest HDS software.
1. Connect the HDS to the DLC How to Troubleshoot the Fuel And Emissions Systems.
2. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
3. Make sure the HDS communicates with the vehicle and the PCM. If it does not communicate, troubleshoot the DLC circuit Testing and Inspection.
4. Check for and troubleshoot any DTCs How to Troubleshoot the Fuel And Emissions Systems.
5. Do the following tests while monitoring parameters in the PGM-FI DATA LIST with the HDS.
6. If the input tests prove OK, replace the PCM Service and Repair.
NOTE: Intermittent failures are often caused by loose circuit connections. While monitoring cruise control inputs, flex the circuit wires, and note if any of the test results change.
