Rear Differential Solenoid Valve Test
Test
1. HDS DLC - Connection
1. Connect the HDS to the data link connector (DLC) (A) located under the driver's side of the dashboard.
2. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
3. Make sure the HDS communicates with the vehicle. If it does not communicate, go to the DLC circuit troubleshooting.
2. Rear Differential Solenoid Valve - Test (With The HDS)
1. Start the engine.
2. Select the FUNCTIONAL TEST in the REAL TIME AWD SYSTEM with the HDS.
3. Select the SOLENOID TEST in the FUNCTIONAL TEST with the HDS.
4. Do LEVEL 1, then do LEVEL 7 of the SOLENOID TEST in that order with the HDS.
5. Check for rear differential solenoid valve operation with the HDS. A clicking sound should be heard.
* If no clicking sound is heard, replace the rear differential solenoid valve.
* If a clicking sound is heard, go to next procedure.
Removal
1. Vehicle Lift
1. Raise the vehicle on a lift, and make sure it is securely supported.
2. Rear Differential Fluid - Replacement (Real Time AWD System)
