Rear Differential Breather Box and Hose Removal and Installation (KA, KC Models AWD)

Removal

1. Vehicle Lift

1. Raise the vehicle on a lift, and make sure it is securely supported.

2. Rear Differential Breather Box And Hose





1. Disconnect the breather hose (A) from the rear differential breather pipe (B).

2. Remove the breather hoses from the clamps (C) on the sensor cover.





3. Disconnect the breather hose (A) from the pump motor breather pipe (B) and clamp (C).





4. Remove the breather hose (A) from the clamp (C) on the right rear differential mount bracket B.





5. Disconnect the breather hoses (A) from the breather box (B).

6. Remove the breather box from the body.

Installation

1. Rear Differential Breather Box And Hose





1. Install the breather box (A) to the body.

2. Connect the breather hoses (B) to the breather box at the paint marks (C).





3. Install the breather hoses (A) to the clamps (B) at the paint marks (C).

4. Connect the breather hose to the rear differential breather pipe (D) at the paint marks (E).





5. Connect the breather hose (A) to the pump motor breather pipe (B) and clamp (C) at the paint marks (D).





6. Install the breather hose (A) to the clamp (B) at the paint mark (C).
