Removal

SRS components are located in this area. Review the SRS component locations Locations and the precautions and procedures Service and Repair before doing repairs or service.

1. Upper Column Cover





1. Remove the upper column cover (A).

2. Lower Column Cover





1. Remove the screws (A).





2. Remove the lower column cover (A).

Test

1. Ignition Key Light - Test





1. Disconnect the connector.

2. The LED should come on when power is connected to terminal No. 3 and ground is connected to terminal No. 2.

3. If the LED does not come on, replace the steering lock assembly.

4. Connect the connector.

1. Install the lower column cover (A).





2. Install the screws (A).
