2012 Civic MIL On with Misfire DTCs P0300, P0302, and P0303

SYMPTOM

The MIL comes on with these DTCs:

^ P0300 Random Misfire Detected

^ P0302 No.2 Cylinder Misfire Detected

^ P0303 No.3 Cylinder Misfire Detected

PROBABLE CAUSE

The crankshaft position (CKP) pattern learn is not complete.

CORRECTIVE ACTION

Do the crankshaft position (CKP) pattern learn procedure.

DIAGNOSIS

Navigate to the PGM-FI Data List in the HDS:

^ Connect the HDS to the data link connector (DLC) located under the dnver's side of the dashboard.

^ Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).

^ Make sure the HDS communicates with the vehicle PCM. If it doesn't, go to DLC circuit troubleshooting.

^ Select PGM-FI in the system selection menu.

^ Select Data List.





Does the CKP PULSER F/B LEARN indicate complete?

Yes - This bulletin doesn't apply, continue with normal troubleshooting.

No - Go to REPAIR PROCEDURE.
