Navigation System DTC Troubleshooting: 1409

DTC 1409:

Audio Error 9

NOTE:

- Check the vehicle battery condition first Battery Test.
- This navigation DTC sets when an XM antenna malfunction is detected, or if there is a problem with the XM receiver.
- Before you troubleshoot, make sure to follow the General Troubleshooting Information How to Troubleshoot the Navigation System.

1. Clear the hard error code.

2. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0) and then back to ON (II).

3. Check for the hard error code.

Is DTC 1409 indicated?

YES -

Check the XM error codes Audio System Error Codes. If any codes are detected, go to affected troubleshooting in the audio (XM) section.

NO -

Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time.
