DTC Troubleshooting: B2633
DTC B2633:
Front Bus Failure
NOTE: If you are troubleshooting multiple DTCs, be sure to follow the instructions in B-CAN System Diagnosis Test Mode A Troubleshooting - B-CAN System Diagnosis Test Mode A.
1. Reconnect the parking and back-up sensor control unit 24P connector.
2. Clear the DTCs with the HDS.
3. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0), and then back to ON (II).
4. Wait for at least 6 seconds.
5. Check for DTCs with the HDS.
Is DTC B2633 indicated?
YES -
Go to step 6.
NO -
Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time.
6. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
7. Swap the left front corner sensor and the left rear corner sensor.
8. Swap the right front corner sensor and the right rear corner sensor.
9. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
10. Clear the DTCs with the HDS.
11. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0), and then back to ON (II).
12. Check for DTCs with the HDS.
Is DTC B2634 indicated?
YES -
Go to step 13.
NO -
Go to step 19.
13. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
14. Swap the left front corner sensor and the left rear corner sensor.
15. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
16. Clear the DTCs with the HDS.
17. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0), and then back to ON (II).
18. Check for DTCs with the HDS.
Is DTC B2633 indicated?
YES -
Replace the left front corner sensor Front Corner Sensor Replacement.
NO -
Replace the right front corner sensor Front Corner Sensor Replacement.
19. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
20. Disconnect the right front corner sensor 6P connector.
21. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
22. Measure the voltage between right front corner sensor 6P connector terminal No. 1 and body ground.
Is there about 8 V?
YES -
Go to step 23.
NO -
Go to step 26.
23. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
24. Disconnect the parking and back-up sensor control unit 24P connector.
25. Check for continuity between right front corner sensor 6P connector terminal No. 3 and body ground.
Is there continuity?
YES -
Repair a short to ground in the wire between the right front corner sensor and the parking and back-up sensor control unit.
NO -
Go to step 29.
26. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
27. Disconnect the parking and back-up sensor control unit 24P connector.
28. Check for continuity between right front corner sensor 6P connector terminal No. 1 and body ground.
Is there continuity?
YES -
Repair a short to ground in the wire between the right front corner sensor and the parking and back-up sensor control unit.
NO -
Repair an open or high resistance in the wire between the right front corner sensor and the parking and back-up sensor control unit.
29. Check for continuity between parking and back-up sensor control unit 24P connector terminal No. 9 and right front corner sensor 6P connector terminal No. 3.
Is there continuity?
YES -
Go to step 30.
NO -
Repair an open or high resistance in the wire between the right rear corner sensor and the parking and back-up sensor control unit.
30. Check for continuity between parking and back-up sensor control unit 24P connector terminal No. 21 and right front corner sensor 6P connector terminal No. 5.
Is there continuity?
YES -
Go to step 31.
NO -
Repair an open or high resistance in the wire between the right rear corner sensor and the parking and back-up sensor control unit.
31. Reconnect the right front corner sensor 6P connector.
32. Reconnect the parking and back-up sensor control unit 24P connector.
33. Disconnect the left front corner sensor 6P connector.
34. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
35. Measure the voltage between left front corner sensor 6P connector terminal No. 1 and body ground.
Is there about 8 V?
YES -
Go to step 38.
NO -
Go to step 36.
36. Disconnect the right front corner sensor 6P connector.
37. Check for continuity between right front corner sensor 6P connector terminal No. 2 and left front corner sensor 6P connector terminal No. 1.
Is there continuity?
YES -
Repair a short to ground in the wire between the right front corner sensor and the left front corner sensor.
NO -
Repair an open or high resistance in the wire between the right front corner sensor and the left front corner sensor.
38. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
39. Disconnect the right front corner sensor 6P connector.
40. Disconnect the parking and back-up sensor control unit 24P connector.
41. Check for continuity between left front corner sensor 6P connector terminal No. 3 and body ground.
Is there continuity?
YES -
Repair a short to ground in the wire between the right front corner sensor and the left front corner sensor.
NO -
Go to step 42.
42. Check for continuity between right front corner sensor 6P connector terminal No. 4 and left front corner sensor 6P connector terminal No. 3.
Is there continuity?
YES -
Repair an open or high resistance in the wire (GND) between the right front corner sensor and the left front corner sensor.
NO -
Repair an open or high resistance in the wire (SIG) between the right front corner sensor and the left front corner sensor.
