How to Check the HandsFreeLink System Condition
NOTE:
- Check the vehicle battery condition first Battery Test.
- The self-diagnostic function can only be initiated while the HFL is in its idle state.
- The self-diagnostic function starts after you press and hold the HANG-UP button on the voice control switch for 5 seconds, and ends if the HandsFreeLink control unit returns to its idle state.
1. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
2. Press and hold the HANG-UP button (A) for more than 5 seconds.
3. When the HFL system enters the self-diagnostic function, the following will occurs:
- Without navigation: If the system has not completed testing for HFL DTCs, HandsFreeLink Self Diagnosis in progress... is displayed on the audio display.
- If the HFL is OK, and there are no HFL DTCs, the HFL system says, "The HFT is OK."
- If there are any HFL DTCs stored, the HFL system says, "The HFT is NG."
