Doors Automatically Relock 30 Seconds After Being Unlocked With The Transmitter Even Though A Door Has Been Opened

Keyless/Power Door Locks/Security System Symptom Troubleshooting - Doors automatically relock 30 seconds after being unlocked with the transmitter even though a door has been opened

Doors automatically relock 30 seconds after being unlocked with the transmitter even though a door has been opened

NOTE:

- Opening the tailgate does not cancel this function, only an open door signal cancels the automatic relock.
- Before troubleshooting, check the B-CAN DTCs. If any DTC is indicated, refer to B-CAN System Diagnosis Test Mode A Troubleshooting - B-CAN System Diagnosis Test Mode A, and troubleshoot the indicated DTCs first.
- The driver's door switch and the front passenger's door switch are connected to the MICU, and the left sliding door switch and sliding door switch are connected to the rear MICU.

1. Move the interior light switch to the DOOR position.

2. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).

3. Watch the front individual map light and the multi-information display on the gauge control module.

Do the front individual map light and multi-information display come on when each door is opened, and go off when each door is closed?

YES -

Substitute a known-good driver's under-dash fuse/relay box (or rear fuse box), and recheck. If the symptom goes away, replace the original fuse/relay box.

NO -

Repair an open or high resistance in the wire between the MICU (or rear MICU) and each door switch. If the wire is OK, replace the door switch.
