Power Door Lock Actuator: Testing and Inspection
Door Lock Actuator Test
Driver's Door
1. Remove the driver's door panel Service and Repair.
2. Disconnect the 10P connector (A) from the actuator (B).
3. Check actuator operation by connecting power and ground according to the table. To prevent damage to the actuator, apply battery voltage only momentarily.
4. If the actuator does not operate as specified, the actuator is faulty; replace the driver's door latch Service and Repair.
Front Passenger's Door
1. Remove the front passenger's door panel Service and Repair.
2. Disconnect the 10P connector (A) from the actuator (B).
3. Check actuator operation by connecting power and ground according to the table. To prevent damage to the actuator, apply battery voltage only momentarily.
4. If the actuator does not operate as specified, the actuator is faulty; replace the front passenger's door latch Service and Repair.
Sliding Door
1. Remove the left or right sliding door panel Service and Repair.
2. Disconnect sliding door latch remote control assembly connector C (2P) (A) from the actuator (B).
The illustration shows the left side.
3. Check actuator operation by connecting power and ground according to the table. To prevent damage to the actuator, apply battery voltage only momentarily.
4. If the actuator does not operate as specified, the actuator is faulty; replace the sliding door latch remote control assembly Service and Repair.
