Front Passenger's Power Seat Motor Test

NOTE: SRS components are located in this area. Review the SRS component locations Locations, and precautions and procedures Service Precautions before doing repairs or servicing.

1. Remove the front passenger's seat recline cover Front Seat Recline Cover Removal/Installation.

2. Disconnect the 12P connector (A) from the power seat adjustment switch (B).






3. On the front passenger's seat, test the motor by applying power and ground at the 12P connector on the seat harness side according to the table.

4. If the motor does not run or fails to run smoothly, go to step 5.

5. Disconnect the 5P or the 2P connector from each motor.

NOTE:

- For recline motor, turn over the seat-back cover as needed Service and Repair.
- All connector views are wire side of female terminals.









6. Check for continuity between the each motor's 5P or 2P connector and the front passenger's seat wire harness 12P connector. If there is continuity, replace the appropriate motor:
