Automatic Lighting Sensor Test/Replacement
NOTE: Take care not to scratch the dashboard.
1. Press the tab (A), carefully pry the speaker grille (B) out with a flat-tip screwdriver, then disconnect the connectors.
2. Pop out the automatic lighting/sun light sensor (C).
3. Reconnect the 5P connector (A).
4. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
5. Measure the voltage between automatic lighting sensor 5P connector terminals No. 1 and No. 3.
- About 3.6 V in direct sunlight
- About 0.2 V when the sensor is covered up
6. If the voltage is not as specified, replace the sensor.
NOTE: In auto mode, the headlights should turn on at about 1.4 V or less, and turn off at about 2.2 V or more.
7. Install the sensor in the reverse order of removal.
