REPAIR PROCEDURE

1. Lower the front door glass fully.

2. Remove the door mirror cover.

3. While pushing on the upper hook with the appropriate trim tool, pull back the inner handle cap, and release the lower hooks to remove it.

4. Remove the screws.

5. Remove the power window switch panel:

^ Insert the appropriate trim tool in the slot at the power window switch panel, and pry up to detach the rear clip.

^ Pull out along the edge of the panel to release the hooks and the front clip.

^ Disconnect the power mirror switch connector (drivers) and the power window switch connector.

6. Remove the door panel:

^ Remove the screws.

^ Detach the clips with a commercially available trim pad remover.

^ Starting at the rear, pull the door panel upward.

NOTE:
The inner handle cable and the latch cable are connected to the inner handle. Do not pull up the door panel too far, or the cables will be damaged.

7. While holding the door panel away from the door, remove the inner handle from the door panel by releasing the hooks.

8. While holding the door panel away from the door, disconnect each connector, then remove the door panel.

^ Pull out the inner handle through the hole in the door panel.

^ If necessary, disconnect the driving position memory switch connector.

^ If necessary, disconnect the power mirror control unit connector.

^ Disconnect the courtesy light connector.

9. Remove the rear section of the door run channel as shown.

10. Apply a bead of 3M Ultrapro sealant along the entire length of the run channel flange. Then, push the sealant into any gaps along the run channel flange.

NOTE:
Do not apply excess sealant, too much sealant can make setting the run channel difficult and can cause run channel distortion.

11. Cut a 5 mm x 25 mm piece of 3 mm EPT foam sealer, and apply it to the lower portion of the run channel as shown.

12. Reinstall the run channel by sliding it up into the corner. Make sure the run channel corner is on the outer portion of the door sash outer trim. Then, continue to push the rest of the run channel in place.

13. Reconnect the courtesy light connector, the power mirror control unit connector, and the driving position switch connector.

14. Reinstall the inner handle, the door panel, the power window switch connector, the inner handle cap, and the door mirror cover.

15. Make sure the window goes up and down the run channel properly.
