DTC Troubleshooting: B1575
DTC B1575:
Auto Light Sensor Error
1. Clear the DTCs with the HDS.
2. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0) and then back to ON (II).
3. Check for DTCs with the HDS.
Is DTC B1575 indicated?
YES -
Go to step 4.
NO -
Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. Check for loose or poor connections.
4. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
5. Disconnect the automatic lighting control unit connector 14P.
6. Disconnect the automatic lighting sensor 5P connector.
7. Check for continuity between automatic lighting control unit 14P connector terminals and automatic lighting sensor 5P connector terminals as shown:
Is there continuity?
YES -
Go to step 8.
NO -
Repair an open or high resistance in the wire.
8. Check for continuity between automatic lighting sensor 5P connector terminals No. 1 and No. 3.
Is there continuity?
YES -
Repair a short in the wire between terminals No. 1 and No. 3.
NO -
Go to step 9.
9. Check for continuity between body ground and automatic lighting control unit 14P connector terminals No. 11 and No. 12 individually.
Is there continuity?
YES -
Go to step 10.
NO -
Repair an open or high resistance in the wire or a poor ground (G403).
10. Reconnect the automatic lighting control unit connector 14P.
11. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
12. Measure the voltage between automatic lighting sensor 5P connector terminals No. 1 and No. 5.
Is there about 5 V?
YES -
Replace the automatic lighting sensor Service and Repair.
NO -
Replace the automatic lighting control unit Automatic Lighting Control Unit Input Test/Replacement.
