RES disc does not eject
NOTE:
- Check the vehicle battery condition first Battery Test.
- Check any official Honda service website for more service information about the RES.
- Before troubleshooting, make sure you have the anti-theft codes for the audio system.
- After troubleshooting, enter the anti-theft codes for the audio system.
- Discs with labels should not be used in the DVD player unit (built into the audio-navigation unit or audio unit). They may damage the player mechanism.
1. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
2. Try ejecting the disc.
Does the disc eject?
YES -
Intermittent failure, the DVD player (built into the audio-navigation unit or audio unit) is OK at this time.
NO -
Go to step 3.
3. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
4. Remove the No. 17 (20 A) fuse from the under-hood fuse relay box for 2 minutes.
5. Reinstall the fuse.
6. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
7. Enter the anti-theft codes.
8. Try ejecting the disc.
Does the disc eject?
YES -
- With navigation: Intermittent failure. If the problem reoccurs, replace the audio-navigation unit Audio-Navigation Unit Removal/Installation.
- Without navigation: Intermittent failure. If the problem reoccurs, replace the audio unit Audio Unit Removal/Installation.
NO -
- With navigation: Replace the audio-navigation unit Audio-Navigation Unit Removal/Installation.
- Without navigation: Replace the audio unit Audio Unit Removal/Installation.
