Front Seat Frame Replacement

Special Tools Required

- KTC Trim Tool Set SOJATP2014

SRS components are located in this area. Review the SRS component locations Locations and the precautions and procedures Service and Repair before doing repairs or service.

- Check the operation of the driver's seat position sensor after any of these actions Testing and Inspection:
- Driver's seat position sensor replacement
- Cover plate (front side of driver's seat slide rail) replacement

- Do the front passenger's weight sensor initialization after front passenger's seat frame replacement.

NOTE:

- Put on gloves to protect your hands.
- Use the appropriate tool from the KTC trim tool set to avoid damage when removing components.
- Apply oil to the pivot areas of the slide locks.
- Apply multipurpose grease to the sliding areas of the seat tracks.
- If the side airbag has deployed, replace the seat frame and related parts with new ones Service and Repair.

1. Remove the front seat Front Seat Removal/Installation.

2. Remove these items:

- Front seat-back cover/pad Service and Repair
- Front seat cushion cover/pad Front Seat Cushion Cover Replacement
- Front seat belt buckle
- Front seat recline motor Front Seat Recline Motor Replacement
- Front seat slide motor Front Seat Slide Motor Replacement

3. Detach the clip and release the hook (A), then remove the outer height cover (B).






4. Driver's seat: Detach the clips (A, B), then remove the inner height cover (C).

5. Gently pull out the rear outer foot cover (A) to release the hook (B) and the clips, then remove it.






6. Gently pull out the rear area of the front outer foot cover (A) to detach the clip and release the hooks (B), then remove it.






7. Release the hooks (A), then remove the front inner foot cover (B).






8. Release the hooks (A) and the clip, then remove the rear inner foot cover (B).






9. Remove the screws, then remove the rear recline inner cover (A) and the rear recline outer cover (B) from the seat frame (C).






10. Install the seat components on the new seat frame in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:

- Make sure the ODS unit and motor connectors are plugged in properly.
- If the clips are damaged or stress-whitened, replace them with new ones.
- Push the clips into place securely.
