Security indicator does not work properly
NOTE:
- Check the vehicle battery condition first Battery Test.
- Check the connectors for poor connections or loose terminals.
- The system will not operate without the 4-digit security (anti-theft) code.
- Before troubleshooting, make sure you have the 4-digit security (anti-theft) code.
1. Do the battery terminal disconnection procedure, than wait for 3 minutes.
2. Do the battery terminal reconnection procedure.
Does the security indicator (LED) on (blink)?
YES -
Go to step 3.
NO -
Substitute a known-good audio unit Audio Unit Removal/Installation and recheck. If the symptom/indication goes away, replace the original audio unit Audio Unit Removal/Installation.
3. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
4. Enter the 4-digit security (anti-theft) code.
Is the security indicator (LED) off?
YES -
The audio unit is OK at this time. Check for loose or poor connections at audio unit.
NO -
Substitute a known-good audio unit Audio Unit Removal/Installation, and recheck. If the symptom/indication goes away, replace the original audio unit Audio Unit Removal/Installation.
