MIL Comes On With DTC P1454 and/or P2422
SYMPTOM
The MIL comes on with DTC P1454 and/or P2422.
PROBABLE CAUSE
The fuel tank pressure (FTP) sensor vent end joint may have been installed upside down, causing moisture to enter and block the vent.
CORRECTIVE ACTION
Replace the FTP sensor, the FTP sensor joint, and clear the moisture from the vent tube.

DIAGNOSIS
Inspect the FTP sensor vent end joint positioning. Find the arrow on the vent joint (see step 8).
Is the arrow pointing up?
Yes - This bulletin does not apply. Continue with normal troubleshooting.
No - Go to REPAIR PROCEDURE.
REPAIR PROCEDURE
1. Raise the vehicle on a lift.
2. Remove the fuel tank guard.
3. Open the clamp holding the EVAP canister hose, then disconnect the hose.
4. Remove the bolts and the clips to lower the EVAP canister.
5. Remove the vent hose, and disconnect the FTP sensor connector and the retaining clip.
6. Remove the FTP sensor.
7. Install a new FTP sensor with a new O-ring, but don't connect the vent hose yet.
8. Pull the vent tube off of the FTP sensor joint.
9. Pull the sensor joint out of the frame using a trim tool.
10. Clear the vent tube of moisture using compressed air.
11. Reinstall the vent hose, and connect the FTP sensor connector and the retaining clip.
12. Reinstall the EVAP canister, and torque the bolts to 9.8 N-m (7.21 lb-ft).
13. Reconnect the EVAP canister hose, and clamp it into place.
14. Reinstall the fuel tank guard, and torque the bolts to 22 N-m (16 lb-ft).
15. Install the tube over the FTP sensor joint with the white dot on top, lining up with the arrow on the joint.
16. Install the new joint with the arrow up.
