Front Fender: Service and Repair



Fender Extension Replacement - Front

Removal Procedure

1. Open the hood.
2. Open the front door on the side of the vehicle where the fender extension is being serviced.
3. Remove the fender flare. Refer toWheel Opening Flare Replacement - Front () .




4. Through the door jamb, remove the fasteners (1) retaining the rear of the fender extension to the vehicle.
5. Remove the fasteners (2) retaining the side of the fender extension to the vehicle.
6. Through the wheelhouse, remove the fastener retaining the bottom of the fender extension to the vehicle.
7. Remove the fender extension (4) from the vehicle.



Installation Procedure





1. Align the fender extension (4) to the vehicle.

Notice: Refer toFastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

2. Install the fasteners (2) retaining the side of the fender extension to the vehicle.

Tighten the fasteners to 9 Nm (7 lb ft).

3. Install the fasteners (1) retaining the rear of the fender extension to the vehicle.

Tighten the fasteners to 14 Nm (10 lb ft).

4. Install the fender flare. Refer toWheel Opening Flare Replacement - Front () .
5. Install the fastener (3) retaining the bottom of the fender extension to the vehicle.

Tighten the fastener to 9 Nm (7 lb ft).

6. Close the door.
7. Close the hood.
