Tailgate Striker: Service and Repair

Lock Striker Replacement - Endgate

Removal Procedure

1. Open the spare tire carrier.
2. Open the endgate.
3. Remove the striker bolt.

Installation Procedure

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

1. Install the striker bolt.

Tighten the striker bolt to 25 Nm (19 lb ft).

2. Close the endgate and verify the latch operation and reopen.
3. Close the endgate.
4. Latch and secure the spare tire carrier.
