Weatherstrip Replacement - Liftgate

Removal Procedure

1. Open the liftgate.




2. Pull the weatherstrip from the liftgate opening pinch-weld flange (1).



Installation Procedure





1. Starting at the top center of the liftgate, install the weatherstrip to the pinch-weld flange. Work down the right and left sides towards the bottom center. Do not stretch the weatherstrip during installation.

Important: Spooning of the liftgate may be required to properly align the weatherstrip to the trim panels.


2. Use a rubber mallet to ensure proper seating of the weatherstrip on the pinch-weld flange (1).
3. Close the liftgate.
