Console Replacement - Overhead (Short Length)



CONSOLE REPLACEMENT - OVERHEAD (SHORT LENGTH)

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

IMPORTANT: When removing some overhead consoles, the rear retaining tabs may be hot glued to the headliner.




1. Remove the console roof screws.




2. If front tabs are glued to headliner, gently wiggle console to loosen console tabs from headliner.
3. Disconnect the electrical connectors.
4. Remove the console.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Connect the electrical connectors.




2. Using a hot melt glue gun, run a bead of glue on tabs and align the console to the headliner holes.




3. Install the console roof screws.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

Tighten the screws to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

4. Check for console operation.
