Identification Lamp Replacement (SUT Front Header)



IDENTIFICATION LAMP REPLACEMENT (SUT FRONT HEADER)

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Protect the surface with 2 layers of masking tape.
2. Insert a flat-bladed tool underneath the lamp on the outer edge to disengage the retention clip.




3. Tilt the lamp rearward in order to disengage the lamp from the front header.
4. Disconnect the electrical connector.
5. Remove the lamp from the vehicle.
6. Turn the bulb socket counterclockwise in order to remove the socket from the lamp assembly.
7. Remove the bulb from the socket, if needed.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the bulb into the socket.




2. Turn the bulb socket clockwise in order to lock the socket into the lamp assembly.
3. Install the lamp assembly to the vehicle.
4. Connect the electrical connector.
5. Ensure the foam gasket is in place and is note damaged. Replace the foam gasket, if damaged.
6. Tilt the lamp forward to engage the hook.
7. Apply light pressure downward on the lamp in order to engage the retention clip.
8. Remove the 2 layers of masking tape.
