Transfer Case Shield Replacement

Removal Procedure





1. Raise the vehicle.
2. Remove the transfer case shield mounting bolts from the cross member.
3. Remove the transfer case shield from cross member.

Installation Procedure





1. Install the transfer case shield to the cross member.

2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

Install the transfer case shield mounting bolts the cross member.
^ Tighten the mounting bolts to 30 Nm (23 ft. lbs.).
3. Lower the vehicle.
