Magnetic Switch Pull-In Test

Disconnect connector from M terminal.

Connect a 12 volt battery between S terminal and M terminal,
Fig. 5. Perform this test in less than ten seconds to prevent coil from burning.

If pinion moves out, then pull-in coil is good. If it does not pull in, replace solenoid.
