DATE: May, 1995

MODEL: All

SUBJECT:
Anti-theft Radio: Cancellation Of Incorrect Lock-out Codes

This TSB is an update to TSB 91-90-021 issued September, 1991. If the incorrect lock-out code is entered following the "COdE" prompt, it will remain on the display and will prevent the radio from operating.

TO CLEAR THE DISPLAY:

Press and hold the "BAND" button for approximately 3 seconds (with the radio turned on) until the incorrect code is replaced by the "COdE" prompt.

IF THE INCORRECT LOCK-OUT CODE IS INPUT 3 TIMES:

The radio will not accept another code until the display is cleared of the incorrect lock-out code.

TO CLEAR THE DISPLAY:

The radio must be turned on for one hour with the vehicle ignition in the "ACC" position. After one hour, press and hold the "BAND" button for approximately 3 seconds (with the radio turned on) until the incorrect code is replaced by the "COdE" prompt.

You may receive the radio code through your DCS system and/or by calling the National Consumer Affairs Department at 1-800-633-5151. Prior to calling for this information, locate the radio chassis number as per TSB 95-90-003.

NOTE:
The HMR 30 radio contains none of the above anti-theft radio features.
