LOWER ARM BUSHING REPLACEMENT PROCEDURE
DESCRIPTION
The procedure should be used when replacing lower arm bushings.
PROCEDURE
1. Remove the lower arm ass'y from the vehicle.
2. Install the special service tools on the lower arm.
3. Press out the bushing.
4. Apply soap solution to the following areas.
a) Outer surface of the new bushing.
b) Inner surface of the lower arm bush mount.
c) Inner surface of the special tools.
5. Press the new bushing into the lower arm using the same special service tools.
NOTE:
Make sure that the bushing is centered in the bushing mounting hole.
NOTE:
After centering the bushing, wipe off the soap solution.
