Precautions For Air Bag Deployment

^ A loud noise is produced when the air bag is deployed. Always warn others of the noise.

^ When deploying the air bag, always use the specified service tool (SST); SRS deployment tool, Kent-Moore part number 0957A-34100-A.

^ When deploying the air bag module, stand at least 30 feet (10 meters) away from the air bag module. Make sure other people are not closer than 30 feet to the air bag.

^ The deployed air bag module is very hot. Before disposing of the air bag module, wait at least 30 minutes after deployment for the module to cool before handling.

^ No poisonous gas is produced upon air bag module deployment; however, do not inhale any dust generated following deployment as it may irritate the throat.

^ The fine dust generated during air bag deployment may cause skin irritation. Be sure to wash your hands thoroughly, with lukewarm water and mild soap after the air bags are deployed.

^ Never apply water to a deployed module.

^ Do not attempt to disassemble the air bag module.

^ The air bag module cannot be reused.
