P0300

P0300 (Random misfire detected)

a. Primary coil approximately 1.0 ohms
b. Secondary coil 10.3-13.9 kilo ohms

CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION FAILURE CONDITIONS

Accent

a. Engine speed is between 600 and 4000 RPM.
b. Engine load is greater than 2 milliseconds.
c. Speed change is less than 1000 RPM per second.
d. No fuel cutoff.
e. Starter is not engaged.
f. Vehicle on smooth road (acceleration sensor reports less than 0.3 g acceleration).

Elantra

a. Engine has been running for more than 5 seconds.
b. Engine speed is between 600 and 4000 RPM.
c. Engine load is greater than 2.3 milliseconds.
d. Throttle is closed during deceleration.
e. Transaxle is not shifting.
f. Vehicle on smooth road (acceleration sensor reports less than 0.2 g acceleration).

Engine load is determined by first dividing air flow per crankshaft revolution by the mass air flow sensor hot film constant (constant is based on the number of fuel injectors and injector's mass flow constant). This value is then adjusted by using engine speed and throttle position readings.
