DESCRIPTION
The purge control solenoid valve is part of the evaporative emission control system. the solenoid controls purge air form the evaporative emission canister.

FAILURE CONDITION
The ECM will set P0445 and the MIL will turn on if a short circuit is detected in the driver stage of the purge control solenoid circuit during two driving cycles.
