DESCRIPTION

Automatic Transaxle equipped 1999-2001 Sonata's, 2001 Elantra's, 2001 Santa Fe's, and 2001 XG300's have the "New Generation Transaxle". Transaxle Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) for these vehicles are found only in the "Automatic Transaxle" menu of the Hi-Scan Pro. DTCs for 1999 Sonata 2.4L produced prior to 5/3/99 are found in the "Engine" menu.

NOTE
When servicing these vehicles for a driveability condition, check for DTCs in both "Engine" and "Automatic Transaxle" menus. When canceling DTCs, it is necessary to cancel codes separately in both menus.
