Crash Pad
REMOVAL AND INSTALLATIONCAUTION: When prying loose with a flat-bladed screwdriver, wrap it with a shop towel to prevent damage.
1. Disconnect negative (-) battery terminal and remove the airbag module or horn pad.
CAUTION:
1. Work must be started after approximately 30 seconds or longer from the time the ignition switch is turned to the LOCK position and the negative(-) terminal cable is disconnected from the battery.
2. Before doing these procedures, see the SRS section for further information (SRS equipped vehicle only).
2. Remove the steering wheel, steering column lower shroud, steering column upper shroud.
3. Remove lower crash pad panel and disconnect the hood release cable and data link connector and switch plate
4. Remove the console upper cover and floor console.
5. Remove the center facia panel with a flat-bladed screwdriver.
6. Remove the audio unit and air conditioner control panel.
7. Remove the glove box.
8. Remove the cluster facia panel and cluster
9. Remove the front pillar trims.
10. Disconnect the connectors and remove the crash pad main.
11. Installation is the reverse of removal. Connect all connectors securely.
