Tightening Torque
CYLINDER HEAD
First loosen slightly and then tighten to the specified torque.
Tightening torque
Cylinder head bolts cold [Engine temperature approximately 20°C (680F)] 105 - 115 Nm (1050 - 1150 kg-cm, 75 - 82 ft. lbs.)
Be sure to follow the specific torque sequence as shown in the illustration.
INTAKE MANIFOLD
Install the intake manifold and delivery pipe reversing the order of the removal procedure.
Tightening torque Intake manifold 12 - 15 Nm (120 - 150 kg-cm, 9 - 11 ft. lbs.)
CAMSHAFT BEARING CAP
Tighten the bearing cap by 2 or 3 steps
Tightening Torque
Outer (a) 16 EA 19 - 20 Nm (190 - 21O kg-cm, 14 - 15 ft. lbs.)
Inner 24 EA 10 - 12 Nm (100 - 120 kg-cm, 7.4 - 8.8 ft. lbs.)
MAIN BEARING CAP
Tighten the cap bolts to the specified torque.
Main bearing cap bolts 70 - 80 Nm (700 - 800 kg-cm, 52 - 59 ft. lbs.)
Cap bolts should be tightened evenly in stages 4 to 5 increments before they are tightened to the specified torque.
CONNECTING ROD BEARING CAP
Tighten the rod bolt.
Connecting rod bolt 34 Nm (340 kg-cm, 26 ft. lbs.) + 90°
CRANKSHAFT PULLEY
Tightening Torque 180 - 190 Nm (1800 - 1900 kg-cm, 130 - 138 ft. lbs.)
DRIVE PLATE
Tightening torque 73 - 77 Nm (730 - 770 kg-cm, 53 - 56 ft. lbs.)
OIL PUMP
Tightening torque:
Oil pump case bolt 15 - 20 Nm (150 - 200 kg-cm, 11 - 14 ft. lbs.)
Oil pump cover screw 8 - 12 Nm (80 - 120 kg-cm, 6 - 9 ft. lbs.)
EXHAUST MANIFOLD
Install the exhaust manifold with gasket.
Tightening torque 40 - 45 Nm (400 - 450 kg-cm, 29 - 33 ft. lbs.)
WATER PUMP
Tighten the bolts to the specified torque.

Engine coolant pump bolt
(M8) 15 - 22 Nm (150 - 220 kg-cm, 11 - 16 ft. lbs.)
(M10) 33 - 50 Nm (330- 500 kg-cm, 24 - 36 ft. lbs.)
