DESCRIPTION:





Replacement parts for the 2005 MY Tucson Occupant Classification System bladder, pressure sensor, electronic control unit (ECU), cushion and cushion frame are available only as a complete cushion assembly. The cushion cover is included in the assembly but can also be ordered and installed separately.

NOTE:
^ The Occupant Classification System ECU must be initialized after the front passenger seat cushion assembly or cushion cover is replaced. Refer to TSB 04-90-015 (Occupant Classification System ECU Resetting Procedure) for the initialization procedure.

^ Refer to the 2005 Tucson Owner's Manual section "Occupant Classification System" (Section 1 pages 35 - 38) and the 2005 Tucson Shop Manual, Restraints Section, beginning on page RT-26, for details regarding the Occupant Classification System ECU and diagnosis.





CAUTION:
The black metal bracket attached to the bottom of the seat cushion must be removed in order to separate the seat cushion assembly from the seat track frame.

^ The Occupant Classification System ECU, located on the upper surface of the black metal bracket, should never be removed from the seat cushion assembly. The bladder, pressure sensor and ECU are calibrated collectively as one unit and cannot be separated.
