Tightening Torque


Cylinder Head





Install and uniformly tighten the cylinder head bolts on each cylinder head in several passes and in the sequence shown, then repeat for the other side, as shown.

If only one of the cylinder head bolts dose not meet the torque specification, replace the cylinder head bolt.
Torque 25 Nm (250 kgf-cm, 18 ft. lbs.)
Retighten the cylinder head bolts by 60° in the numerical order shown.
Retighten the cylinder head bolts by 45° in the numerical order shown.







Intake Manifold



Camshaft Bearing Cap

Install the camshaft bearing caps (A).
Tightening torque
M6 (38 mm) 10 - 12 Nm (100 - 120 kgf-cm, 7 - 9 ft. lbs.)
M6 (50 mm) 14 - 16 Nm (140 - 160 kgf-cm, 10 - 12 ft. lbs.)


Main bearing Cap





Install and uniformly tighten the 16 bearing cap bolts, in several passes, in the sequence shown.
Tightening torque
M8 (A) 13 - 19 Nm (130 - 190 kgf-cm, 10 - 14 ft. lbs.)
M10 (B) 27 - 33 Nm (270 - 330 kgf-cm, 19.5 - 24 ft. lbs.)


Crankshaft pulley bolt 180 - 190 Nm (1800 - 1900 kgf-cm, 130 - 138 ft. lbs.)


Oil Pump





Install the oil pump with 5 bolts.
Uniformly tighten the bolts in several passes.


Exhaust Manifold Tightening torque 30 - 35 Nm (300 - 350 kgf-cm, 22 - 26 ft. lbs.)


WATER PUMP











1. Install the water pump (A) and a new gasket (B) with the 8 bolts.
Tightening torque 15 - 22 Nm (150 - 220 kgf-cm, 11 - 16 ft. lbs.)
