IMPORTANT:
DEALERS MUST PERFORM THIS CAMPAIGN ON ALL AFFECTED VEHICLES PRIOR TO CUSTOMER RETAIL DELIVERY.
IMPORTANT:
WHEN A VEHICLE ARRIVES AT THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT, ACCESS HYUNDAI MOTOR AMERICA'S "WARRANTY VEHICLE INFORMATION" SCREEN VIA DCS ON-LINE TO IDENTIFY OPEN CAMPAIGNS.
DESCRIPTION:
Symptom/Condition:
On 2007 Entourage (EP) vehicles, the MIL (Malfunction Indicator Light) may illuminate with DTC P0441 or P0128 stored in the ECM even though there are no system faults.
^ P0441: EVAP emission system incorrect purge flow
^ P0128: Engine coolant thermostat stuck open
NOTE:
There are no performance issues associated with this condition.
To resolve the above condition, the ECM should be reprogrammed using the GDS.
IMPORTANT NOTES:
This TSB provides reprogramming instructions for GDS only. You may have to perform an initial internet update of GDS to receive this latest data item # 80.
If the vehicle had not been driven recently and was in storage for days; first start and run the engine for several minutes to assure it has a reasonably charged battery before conducting reprogramming. A low vehicle battery charge can result in failed reprogramming.
