GDS Manual Mode (Error Mode) Reprogramming Procedure
GDS MANUAL MODE (ERROR MODE) REPROGRAMMING PROCEDURE:Follow these steps in the event the IPM reprogramming was not successful or did not complete using the above GDS Auto Mode reprogramming instructions:
1. Turn off the ignition for 10 seconds and then turn it back on; this will ensure that the ACU is reset.
2. Within the ECU Upgrade screen in the left column select Manual Mode followed by BCM. Then select Upgrade Event 144 EP HORN ANSWER BACK LOGIC UPDATE.
Select IPM: 91954-4D070/090/091/190 and click OK.
3. Enter the password 4091 and click OK.
4. The battery voltage is verified to make sure it is at least 12 volts to ensure reliable update results. Click OK if the results indicate the voltage is OK.
NOTE:
If voltage is below 12 volts, click Cancel and then run the engine for several minutes to ensure an adequate battery charge state for reliable update results.
5. The following screen will appear. Click OK to continue the Manual Mode reprogramming.
6. Update will begin and the progress of the update will appear on the bar graph.
7. Update will occur until 100% is reached on the bar graph. Turn off the ignition power for a minimum of 10 seconds and then turn it back on. Click OK on the screen.
8. The manual reprogramming mode has been completed successfully when the
following confirmation pop-up screen appears. Click the OK button.
9. Check that no incidental Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC) have been created by the reprogramming and, if there are, that they don't return after being cleared. If they returned after being cleared, follow the diagnostic directions for that DTC.
10. Log off from GDS and remove all GDS cables from the vehicle.
11. Start the engine to confirm proper operation of the vehicle.
12. Press the vehicle's keyless transmitter LOCK button two times to confirm the horn answer back operation.
