CVVT OIL TEMPERATURE SENSOR (OTS)




FUNCTION AND OPERATION PRINCIPLE
The CVVT Oil Temperature Sensor (OTS) is a negative coefficient thermistor used by the PCM it measure engine oil temperature for the purpose of adjusting CVVT calculations.

COMPONENT INSPECTION
1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
2. Disconnect OTS connector.
3. Remove the OTS.




4. After immersing the thermistor of the sensor into water (or engine coolant), measure resistance between OTS terminals 1 and 2.
5. Check that the resistance is within the specification.
