DESCRIPTION:

This bulletin clarifies dealer responsibilities regarding the disposal/recycling requirements for mercury containing materials.

Components that contain mercury must be disposed of according to Local, State and Federal Laws.

Components that may contain mercury include backlit LCD rear seat entertainment displays, high intensity discharge (HID) lamps, and navigation display devices.

It is the responsibility of each dealer to be aware of and comply with hazardous waste laws (including for mercury) determining how to deal with waste and recycling matters.
