Removal

Water Temperature Control Assembly

CAUTION:
- To avoid damage, unplug the wiring connectors carefully while holding the connector portion.

NOTE:
- Mark all wiring and hoses to avoid misconnection.

1. Loosen the drain plug and drain the engine coolant.
2. Remove the radiator upper hose (A) and lower hose (B).




3. Disconnect the WTS & gauge unit connector (A)




4. Disconnect the throttle body coolant hoses (A) and the heater hoses (B).




5. Disconnect the oil cooler hoses (A).
6. Remove the water temperature control assembly (B).






Installation

Water Temperature Control Assembly
1. Install the water temperature control assembly (B) and then, connect the oil cooler hoses (A).

Tightening torque :
19.6 - 23.5N.m (2.0 - 2.4kgf.m, 14.5 - 17.4lb-ft)





2. Connect the WTS & gauge unit connector (A).




3. Connect the throttle body coolant hoses (A) and the heater hoses (B).




4. Install the radiator upper hose (A) and the lower hose (B).





NOTE:
- Refill engine coolant.
- Refill radiator and reservoir tank with engine coolant.
- Bleed air from the cooling system.
- Start engine and let it run until it warms up. (Until the radiator fan operates 3 or 4 times.)
- Turn Off the engine. Check the level in the radiator, add coolant if needed. This will allow trapped air to be removed from the cooling system.
- Put radiator cap on tightly, then run the engine again and check for leaks.
- Clean the battery posts and cable terminals with sandpaper assemble them, then apply grease to prevent corrosion.
