C1620 ALIGNMENT FAILED - General Information
Component Location
General Description
SCC (Smart Cruise Control) is installed in front bumper left side. SCC detects target vehicle and calculates distance, relative velocity from target vehicle by using the radar sensor. For this, reader sensor should installed in parallel line with vehicle driving direction. Therefore it is essential performing sensor alignment after first installation of sensor or reinstall. In case of not performing sensor alignment, control accuracy of the SCC system can not be ensured. In case that sensor is installed first time or reinstall, SCC stores DTC code (P1620) to inform that sensor needs alignment.
DTC Description
SCC monitors sensor alignment status. If alignment failed for various possible reasons or sensor has never been aligned before, SCC sets this code.
